help relieve starvation

The people of Gaza are starving. The children of Gaza are starving. This is not an accident. This is a deliberate policy.

Prior to October 7th 2023, 500 lorries crossed into Gaza every day. Lorries have to pass through the occupying forces checkpoint at Karem Shalom. This now only allows 5 trucks to pass every day. Sometimes, it is even less as the right wing settlers obstruct even this little amount of food and medical aid entering Gaza. There are thousands of trucks on the Egyptian side of the border, where they have been for many months. The food in them rots as they are not allowed in. We know the occupying forces treat this like a game – looking for new ways to starve children to death.  The banning of UNRWA is designed to do this. UNRWA provides 60% of the jobs in Gaza, and also provides shelters and food aid.

This is a deliberate policy of starvation. Starvation as a strategy of war is a WAR CRIME.

There is some food in Gaza, but as the volume of food diminishes, the prices rise. Families who were impoverished before cannot afford to pay these inflated prices, and they starve. Aid agencies try to feed those who are hungry, but the complete siege of Gaza means that there is no significant food aid entering the Gaza Strip.

It is possible to help families by donating to them to allow them to afford food. Obviously, the easy solution would be for the thousands of trucks to be allowed in to deliver food aid. The occupying forces are not going to allow this. They are building walls to make Gaza under complete siege forever.

If you give money to a family through direct transfer, you can help them buy food to relieve starvation. One of the EboniesVoice directors supports 13 families in Gaza. If all of us do something similar, we can at least stop men, women and especially children from starving to death.

Please donate directly to a family by using the QR codes on the families page, or support an individual family by registering, and support them in the long term.
